Day 5 - Friday June 22, 2007

Hi:

Joe worked with the oldest children. Becca also helped in the young classroom and Deb worked with the first/second graders. Clydia was a floater today and helped out in schooling where needed, mostly with the little ones. We ate lunch with the children today (we ate goat without knowing!)and afterwards all split up. Deb and Joe dug a big ditch for a water line and filled it back in. Michelle got to work with the horses today and went on an "out ride" (outside of the orphanage) and treated some of the horses fungi. Clydia did a craft with the kids making hats with names on them. Joe played a great game of basketball with some of the older boys. Becca worked with all of the animals today being a "farm girl!" Steven also help with contruction by sanding and painting 8 steel beams! Finished the day with very good interacie bible study with two other local ladies joining us. The weather’s been great…75-80, sunny, but cool cool nights. Haven’t seen any crocs, elephants, monkeys or snakes…..YET! Tomorrow’s another day!
